Bounty Tournaments
The most satisfying feeling at the table of a poker tournament is eliminating another player. Not only do you win a huge pot, but you are also one step closer to the prize money! Now the prize money and eliminations are coming together at Poker Room's Bounty tournaments!
In a Bounty tournament, a percentage of the prize pool will be taken to put a bounty on the heads of players. The overall prize payout structure remains the same, but the extra value is found as you knock out other players and receive a cash prize for every elimination.
Regardless of your tournament placing, you can still make a profit on bounties. For example, in a $2 buy-in tournament, $1 will contribute to the prize pool, and $1 will be paid to the bounty field. Every player has a $1 price on their head, so simply eliminate two players and you have already made your buy-in back, with only profit to come!
Bounty tournaments will be available with many different prize structures. The bounty prize pool can be customized, anywhere from 10% of the buy-in to a full 100%! Simply check out our tournament listings in the Poker Room software to see the prize pool structure for any one of our upcoming tournaments.
T & C's:
As part of the Poker Room GrandMaster Elo Bounty Promotion, herein "the Promotion", you are bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
• All monthly winners will be paid the appropriate leaderboard prize within 2 business days.
• Leaderboard results will be based on the total Elo rating achieved during the leaderboard promotional period. In the event of a leaderboard tie, prizes will be distributed equally among the tied players. For example: 2 players tied for 1st place. So, both players would win: 1st place prize + 2nd place prize / no. of tied player.
• Each player will commence the month with an Elo ranking of *1500* points.
* The GrandMaster promotion will commence on the 21st day of each month and conclude on the 20th day of the following month. Example: From April 21 (00:01) until May 20 (23:59).
• Player Elo ratings will be calculated using a K-factor of 32, however, special bounty tournaments with higher K-factors will be scheduled throughout the promotion.
• Where the ELO rating difference between 2 players exceeds 150, 150 will be used.
• For every 3 consecutive days that a bounty event is not played, players will have their Elo rating decayed by 15 points.
• Any form of cheating or collusion will not be tolerated. Please stay within the spirit of this promotion and do not play a friend over and over again. If you engage in conduct against the spirit of the promotion you will become ineligible for the prize and may have your account closed.
• All GrandMaster leaderboard prizes will be paid directly to your player account and can be used immediately. All cash prizes cannot be withdrawn until 7 days after being issued.
* Poker Room reserves the right to modify these rules at any time, and for any reason, at its sole discretion.
• Breach of the Terms will result in instant removal from the Promotion.
